Risk of Rain 2 DLC PS4: Survivors of the Void

Get ready for a new adventure in Risk of Rain 2 as the game receives its first paid DLC, Survivors of the Void, on March 1st. This expansion brings two new classes to the class-based looter-shooter, including the Railgunner, a sniper that can aim down from a first-person scope to deal massive damage to a single enemy at range.

The Railgun is an exciting addition to the game, reminiscent of its popularity in the Quake series. However, only owners of the DLC can play as the two new characters and permanently unlock items for their single-player runs. This means that even if your friends don't own the DLC, they can still join you in multiplayer and experience the new events, levels, monsters, and items.

New locations await discovery, including dormant gateways from all over the planet that have opened up to reveal never-before-seen stages. Take on the void creatures that encroach on Petrichor V with utmost caution, as they are the most powerful creatures in this expansion.

Old and new creatures alike have emerged from hiding due to the Void's influence, including the slime creature from the first game. Be cautious, as they may seem harmless but will bounce you off a cliff if you get too close. A brand-new set of items is also available, including basic, uncommon, boss, and rare items.

The new Void Items are corrupted versions of 14 existing artifacts, with effects often being the opposite of what they used to be. For example, the Void Ukulele now deals high amounts of single-player damage instead of its original AOE electricity effect.

Two new survivors join the crew: the Void Fiend and the Railgunner. The Void Fiend is a corrupted commando that broke away from the Void's will and now fights it with its own corrupted power, offering both long-range and short-range attacks. The Railgunner is adept at dealing high amounts of damage from long range.

In Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void, a new dimension has opened up and started affecting Petrichor V, causing the Void Creatures to take an interest in the planet's inhabitants and artifacts. They're now looking to add you to their collection. The corrupting power contained within has manifested into Petrichor V, plunging the planet into darkness.
